About Heather

With a background as a school counselor and special education teacher, Heather is passionate about helping students develop the skills they need to thrive. She began my journey as a mental health therapist for children in the foster care system, later earning a Master’s in Counseling and becoming a school counselor. She's run an elementary counseling program, taught K-5 students with emotional and behavioral needs, and shares her experiences and insights through her blog, The Helpful Counselor.
